Emma has over 30 years of experience in the construction and property industry and has skills in property valuation, development, land economics, agency, and management in all sectors.
Emma has administered Thirkell Consulting Engineers & Building Design since 2004. She also prepares and manages the development and building approval documentation, operational work permits, reports for insurance claims, cyclone risk reports, and legal expert witness cases. She assists the engineering and design team with document control, property title matters, surveying, legal matters, development processes, and client management.
Emma has worked for Atis Real Wetheralls (BNP Paribas Real Estate Advisory) and Knight Frank's Head office in London as a commercial investment valuer, servicing the UK's leading banks and property investment companies such as British Land and Land Securities from 1999 to 2004. Emma has also worked for Nationwide (PRD) Realty in Double Bay and Professionals (Wyatt RE) in Vaucluse, Sydney; and Penridge Real Estate and Knight Frank in Cairns from 1989 to 1998.
Emma attended Trinty Bay High School in Cairns and is a 5th generation Cairns resident.
