Green Build visionary to feature at Tropical Economies Conference
FTEC is a unique opportunity to hear from the inspirational Jason Pomeroy – the award-winning architect and academic at the forefront of the sustainable built environment agenda.
As the Founding Principal of Pomeroy Studio and an active member of the Singapore Green Building Council, Jason provides vision and creative direction in both design and research. He is committed and passionate about all aspects of green design, and in particular zero energy development, greening the urban habitat, and vertical urban theory – three fields of research that underpin the Pomeroy Studio’s work.
Jason’s projects of note transcend scale and discipline. He is renowned for the innovative Idea House, the first carbon zero prototype in Southeast Asia, and Nova by Century, the first zero carbon public realm in the Philippines. He was also behind Trump Tower Manila, the tallest residential tower in the Philippines, and Vision Valley Malaysia, an 80,000 acre Network Garden City extension of Kuala Lumpur.
His other credits include authoring ‘Skycourt and Skygarden: Greening the Urban Habitat’ and ‘Idea House: Future Tropical Living Today’, hosting ‘City Time Traveller’ (a 12-part architecture travel TV series), and speaking at the 2012 TEDx Singapore.
Internationally renowned speakers to explore tropic zone issues
Jason Pomeroy will join expert speakers at FTEC including the Federal Treasurer Joe Hockey and Queensland Treasurer Tim Nicholls, along with leaders in the fields of economics, human capital and environment.
