Regional Architecture 'Spirit of Place' Conference in Cairns

The very first QLD regional conference, by the Australian Institute of Architects ‘Spirit of Place’ is to be held in Cairns in 14 days time.
Everyone is invited to attend: designers, planners, engineers, developers, builders, suppliers, administrators and the public. It's now time to register and support this important initiative for the city of Cairns.
Our beautiful city will play host to an event that responds to issues specific to our region including:
the unique challenges of practising in regional areas,
working with regional communities,
tourism projects,
resource industry projects,
working in remote locations and
emerging demands from accelerated growth in regional towns and cities.
Engage with an illustrious set of local and international keynote speakers who will enthuse our 'Spirit of Place' and use the exceptional chance to exchange experiences supported by a rich range of tours and events that will explore the extraordinary locality of the beautiful Cairns region.
'Spirit of Place' will be held over Friday 6th and Saturday 7th September with the opening party taking place on the evening of Thursday 5th September. All conference registrations include a ticket to the opening party.
Registration discounts are available for groups if you are local or a member of the BDAQ, PIA, UDIA, EA, RICS, SSI, HIA, MBA or the Tropical Green Building Network in the Cairns & Townsville region. So please contact email/admin)(tgbn.org.au to arrange registration at a discounted rate. Papua New Guinea Institute of Architects Members are eligible for the Institute Member rate.
