Roundtable Briefing: Business Opportunities in the Pacific
The Pacific presents an opportunity for Queensland companies of all sizes to expand their regional footprint and export offering. These roundtable briefings, held in Townsville and Cairns, will discuss opportunities across this region, provide updates on the Australia-Pacific trade relationship, and information on upcoming business missions and activity for Queensland firms.
There will be a focus on opportunities in infrastructure, renewables/aid, building and construction services and innovative technologies/products suppliers in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, and East Timor.
There will be time for Q&A discussion during the session.

Presenters
Frank Yourn, Executive Director of Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council, Australia Fiji Business Council and Australia Pacific Islands Business Council.
Frank will discuss opportunities and activity related to PNG, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and the Solomon Islands, including information from a recent Australian business mission to the Bougainville.
Adrian Weeks, Senior Trade Commissioner for the Pacific, Austrade.
Adrian will cover business opportunities in Fiji, Vanuatu, Timor and New Caledonia and identity the drivers for the trade relationship. He will highlight a building and construction mission to Fiji planned for September 2016.
Note: After the roundtable in Cairns, there will also be a Tradelinked networking event at the Shangri-la Hotel from 5:30-7pm. The roundtable presenters will attend this event, as well as other representatives from Trade & Investment Queensland, DFAT Papua New Guinea, and representatives from PNG and Cairns business community.
