'The Peak' scheme design of tropical home.
The home was designed for a hillslope location that slopes from the street frontage. The single level house design is based on the traditional ‘long house’ design, common to the cultures of the Pacific islands and South East Asia.
The structure is lightweight timber and steel with a series of skillion roofs and various wall cladding materials. The building envelope is very economical. The swimming pool and hard landscaping around the fire pit is resort style. It delivers luxury, making the most of the tropical climate.
