Inspection and building assessment

Thirkell Consulting Engineers and Building Design were engaged to inspect the jetty, gangway and pontoon at East Trinity and provide a report that assessed the structures capacity to service the future use as a ferry transit station.

We were instructed to report on whether the infrastructure is fit for purpose without any further development, or where it is not and requires alteration, that such alterations should, as far as possible, be confined to improvements of the existing structure that will not require additional disturbance to the seabed or tidal zone.
