The original house straddled two land lots and was removed from the site. Development and building approval was secured for three dwelling houses associated with reconfigruing the two lots into three lots. Two lots were located to the front of the lot, designed with a boundary party wall for two townhouses. The third lot was designed as a battleaxe for the rear, with an access driveway. A complicated existing sewerage line was overcome by designing the house at the rear with an angle to distance the footings and for maintenance.
The townhouses have three large bedrooms, the main with an ensuite. The large open plan dining, living and kitchen seamlessly opens out onto a large rear deck. A stand out design feature is the light well over the stairs and the ceiling heights. The large landing on the first floor allows for a small lounge area. The design features cater for families and sharehousing. Each townhouse has a double undercover carspace.
The single level house at the rear has three bedrooms and all bedrooms have their own ensuite bathroom. A fourth WC is located with an internal laundry. The open plan kitchen, living and dining area opens onto an outdoor undercovered patio and carport area. The house is designed for students, share housing or an extended family.
